San Diego Youth & Community Services (SDYCS) is a nationally recognized, comprehensive non-profit organization that has helped stabilize the lives of more than a half-million young people and their families since 1970. Every day we work to fight the tragedies of homeless youth and youth in crisis. We administer our programs from sixteen locations throughout San Diego County. Our approach is based on practices that have proven to be effective -- focusing on long-term solutions. Many of our programs are replicated in communities across the nation.

Join us on Sunday, September 21st at Paradise Point in Mission Bay for the San Diego Bayfair!  All proceeds benefit San Diego Foster Youth.  Ticket purchase includes a VIP reception, lunch, and premiere viewing of the 2008 World Series of Powerboat Racing!

On May 1st, 2008,  Walter Philips, Executive Director of San Diego Youth & Community Services, set off from St. Augustine, Florida on a 3000 mile coast to coast bicycle ride to raise money for the youth of San Diego.

“This ride was about the kids and making a difference for them. I’ve been blessed with the ability to do this kind of athletic feat, so I’m glad that my efforts have helped the kids who are struggling in our community.”
-Walter Philips

East County Teen Recovery Center receives a new computer lab!

Cymer generously donated six new computer stations with Dell Desktop Computers and Flat Panel LCD Monitors to our East County Teen Recovery Center, along with funding for a server, wiring, and set-up. Cymer employees also joined the efforts by coming to ECTRC and donating their time to paint the computer room. These new computer stations enable youth to enhance their educational experience, learn important career building skills, and network with their peers.  Thank You, Cymer!

Thanks to the generous support of Staples and Boma International, in collaboration with Bartocci Development; Equity Office Properties & American Technologies, Inc, SDYCS youth will be going back to school with the necessary supplies to succeed this school year. Forty back packs and various school supplies were donated to NFL Youth Education Town in Golden Hill. On August 29th, the YET center staff will throw a "Back to School Party" for the youth, where they can pick from Hannah Montana, High School Musical, or multi-colored backpacks.
